You will have the opportunity to influence how the city of Mölndal develops and manages its properties in the long term, and thus also how the municipality's operations can continue to provide high-quality service to residents.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the unit manager for property management in the city of Mölndal, you will have a central and significant role in leading, developing, and ensuring the quality of the city's work with both owned and rented properties. In the operational work, you lead the development of both employees and working methods. You ensure that the operation, maintenance, and management of the city's properties function in a safe and quality-assured manner. You drive procurements and negotiations with suppliers and contractors, manage lease agreements, and work closely with both internal and external tenants to create good and long-term relationships.
At the strategic level, you work on developing and implementing property strategies that support the city's overall goals. The role also involves clear financial responsibility, where you follow up on the operations budget, analyze key figures, and report status to management. You continuously work to create good conditions for cost-effective management and long-term investments.
As a manager, you lead the unit with a trusting, coaching, and communicative leadership style. You work closely with your employees to create an engaging and development-oriented work environment and take active responsibility for developing roles, routines, and processes within the unit. You collaborate broadly within the municipality, with other departments and administrations, as well as with external actors. In the role, you are part of the department's management team, where you contribute with your expertise, commitment, and a holistic perspective.
QUALIFICATIONS
